This defeat has significant consequences, as it confirms their relegation from the tournament. U20 North Korea topped the group with 9 points and secured a spot in the 2027 U20 Asian Championship, while U20 Iran also qualified with 6 points. Vietnam's relegation reflects a disappointing campaign, as they now join a group of teams facing the same fate.
