Manchester United is currently evaluating the future of Marcus Rashford, as the club is open to the possibility of selling him for approximately £40 million. However, new manager Michael Carrick has expressed a desire to keep the talented forward in the squad.

According to reports from talkSPORT, Carrick does not intend to exclude Rashford from his plans or treat him as a discarded player, as was the case under former manager Ruben Amorim. Instead, Carrick is prepared to provide Rashford with additional opportunities, especially since the club has yet to secure a new left-winger.

The coaching staff at Manchester United believes that Rashford has the potential to become a key player if he can regain his form. Carrick is not deterred by Rashford's high salary, as he sees the forward as a valuable attacking option. Following a break after the 2026 World Cup, Rashford is set to join the team for a training camp in the Republic of Ireland and is expected to participate in the final friendly matches before the season kicks off.

Last season, Rashford had a successful loan spell at Barcelona, where he scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists, helping the Catalan club secure the La Liga title. However, Barcelona decided not to activate the £26 million buyout clause in his loan agreement and opted to pursue Anthony Gordon from Newcastle instead. As a result, Rashford will return to Old Trafford after his loan period concludes.

Currently, Rashford is inclined to continue his career with Manchester United, despite interest from various clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The England international prefers to compete in one of the top five European leagues, although lucrative offers from Turkish clubs may prompt him to reconsider his options. In addition to Fenerbahce, several Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Saudi Pro League teams are closely monitoring Rashford's situation.
