Steve Clarke Warns Scotland of Neymar's Threat Ahead of Match

Scotland's manager Steve Clarke has expressed the need for his team to be fully prepared for the challenge posed by Brazil's iconic forward Neymar, who is set to make his return from injury in their World Cup match in Miami. With the Group C finale approaching, Clarke acknowledged Neymar's status as one of the superstars of modern football.

“His qualities are without question,” Clarke stated. “We can expect a very dangerous opponent, but Neymar is just one of many threats Brazil possesses.” He highlighted that even if Neymar comes off the bench, his presence could significantly uplift the Brazilian squad.

Scotland's captain, Andy Robertson, who has faced Neymar in club competitions, downplayed the idea of preferring to face Neymar over other Brazilian talents like Vinícius Júnior or Gabriel Martinelli. “It’s not about wanting to face Neymar or any other player. Brazil has quality in every position, and we need to prepare for that,” Robertson said.

Brazil has demonstrated their prowess in the tournament thus far, and Clarke noted their ambition to reach at least the semifinals. As the match approaches, the weather has also been a concern, with Clarke mentioning the possibility of rain disruptions. “We have a strategy in mind for dealing with potential weather delays,” he commented.

Unfortunately for Scotland, they will be without Aaron Hickey, who missed their previous match against Morocco due to injury. Clarke remains hopeful that Hickey will be fit for the knockout stages. “Everybody else is fit and raring to go,” he added, emphasizing the team's readiness to face one of the world's best teams.
