Japan's Shingo Kunieda has become the first male wheelchair tennis player to win three individual Paralympic
Germany's Felix Streng became the new Paralympic champion after winning the 100m T64 event, in a closely fought battle to the finish line on August 30.
The 26-year-old German was behind two-time reigning champion Jonnie Peacock out of the blocks but blasted through in the final stretch to cross the finish line in a blistering time of 10.76 to dethrone the British athlete of his crown.
Costa Rica's Sherman Isidro Guity Guity clocked in just two seconds later after Streng to clinch silver.
Meanwhile, in one of the most dramatic finishes in recent history, Peacock and Streng's teammate Johannes Floors clocked in the same time (10.79) for a photo finish.
Great Britain's Lee Pearson wins 14th Paralympic gold medal
No one seems to be able to dethrone Great Britain's Para equestrian star Lee Pearson. The legendary athlete now has 14 Paralympic gold medals after winning the Para dressage individual freestyle test - Grade II along with his horse Breezer.
The British rider gave a flawless performance to land the highest score of 82.447 which edged out Austria's Pepo Puch and fellow Briton Georgia Wilson for the top spot on the podium. Puch claimed silver after scoring an overall total of 81.007 whilst Wilson took bronze.
This is Pearson's third gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games after claiming victory in the Para dressage individual test - Grade II on August 26 followed by Dressage Individual Freestyle Test - Grade II on August 29.
Turkey's Nihat Turkmenoglu wins gold in W1
Turkey's Nihat Turkmenoglu took the only gold medal of the archery competition of the day when he defeated Czech Republic's David Drahoninsky.
Meanwhile, he's not the only one celebrating as his teammate Bahattin Hekimoglu took bronze after a fierce match against Mohammadreza Zandi of Islamic Republic of Iran.
Netherlands' Kelly Van Zon makes it three Paralympic gold medals in a row
Kelly van Zon arrived in Tokyo as one of the Paralympians to look out for and did not disappoint.
In the thrilling women's singles class 7 final held on Monday (August 30), the Dutch legend staged a memorable comeback 3-2 win over the Russian Paralympic Committee's (RPC) Viktoriia Safonova. Van Zon won the first set 11-8, but Safanova took the following two 11-3, 11-4.
Yet in a great display of mental toughness and grit, van Zon secured the final two 11-5, 11-8 to claim her third successive Paralympic gold medal.
