To Hai Plans to Acquire Over 31 Million Shares After Wife's Exit

To Hai, a board member of Vietcap Securities Joint Stock Company (HoSE: VCI), has announced his intention to acquire 31.05 million shares of VCI. This decision follows his wife, Truong Nguyen Thien Kim, divesting nearly 16.9 million shares of VCI earlier this year, leaving no shares in Vietcap.

According to the transaction announcement, To Hai currently holds 174,338,194 shares of VCI, which is approximately 15.13% of the company's charter capital. If the purchase is completed, his total shareholding will increase to 205 million shares. The transaction is expected to take place from August 4, 2026, using the matching order method. Based on the par value, the total value of the shares To Hai plans to purchase is estimated at 310.5 billion VND.

This strategic move by To Hai comes after a series of significant adjustments in VCI's stock price, which has recently shown a positive recovery. On the morning of July 28, 2026, VCI's shares surged to their maximum limit of 19,700 VND per share, with high liquidity, as over 10 million shares changed hands within the morning session.

The registration for this transaction was made to meet personal needs, highlighting To Hai's confidence in the company's future performance.
