They will stage famous pieces, including “Hello Vietnam” and “Bohemien Rhapsody”, along with some Vietnamese pieces such as “Mua xuan đầu tien”, (The first spring) and “Người Ha Noi”, (The Hanoians)..
The concert is being organised by “For A Livable Hanoi” Coalition with the aim of enriching the cultural life of people in the capital.
Hanoi needs plenty of open spaces for artists, young people, and social activists to meet, exchange, and develop fresh ideas, and this concert provides a good chance for those activities to take place, said Le Quang Binh, co-ordinator of the coalition.
The event will enjoy the participation of members of the Diversity Choir and Hanoi Voices Choir, which includes many locals and foreigners living and working in Vietnam.
Diversity Choir was originally established by the Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment (iSEE) in November, 2018, and is made up of the elderly, children, people with disabilities, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) and ethnic minority people, all of whom share a passion for music and human values.
Hanoi Voices is an international choir comprised of both local and expat singers. The choir was first founded in 2016 with the vision of creating a semi-professional choir made up of members who either have musical experience or a musical education.
