HCM CITY — Lam Đồng Province authorities have announced the Đa Lạt Music Run event to take place in late April. 

It is part of a series of events to be held during the Lam Đồng Tourism Golden Week, and will be organised by Vietravel and Nexus Media companies. 

The first ever outdoor running event combined with music is expected to attract more than 3,000 participants, including professional athletes and tourists.

Nguyễn Thị Bích Ngọc, deputy director of the province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said at a press conference last week that the tourism week with the theme ‘Đa Lạt - tourist paradise’ would be held from April 23 to 30.

The culture, tourism, culinary, and sports events will seek to attract visitors from HCM City and nearby provinces.

It will showcase the potential of Đa Lạt City and feature exhibitions and other events related to gastronomy and the ethnic cultures of the Central Highlands.

After nearly a year’s slump due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the province’s tourism industry is making a strong recovery. 

A sudden increase in the number of visitors, especially after the 2022 Lunar New Year holidays, has underlined Đa Lạt’s reputation as a top tourist attraction.

According to the city People's Committee, it plans to stimulate demand to revive the tourism industry. VNS
