Vietnam’s Da Lat City was placed third among the world’s top destinations for flowers by Booking.com’s global travelers, the travel and accommodation booking platform said in a press release on Wednesday.

The Vietnamese city ranked below Amsterdam in Netherlands and Funchal in Portugal.

It is followed by Gramado, Brazil; Singapore; Cameron, Malaysia; Cordoba, Spain; Victoria, Canada; Toowoomba, Australia; and Istanbul, Turkey.

“Often known as the city of thousands of flowers, Da Lat is home to various flower parks, farms and festivals, each decorating the city with colorful blooms and rich green landscapes,” Booking.com said.

“Prepared to be mesmerized by the various fragrances from different flower gardens, which grow lilies, chrysanthemums and diverse orchids that the city is known for.

“The most famous garden that attracts visitors all year round is the flower garden in the center of Da Lat featuring arches of flowers arranged in a gate, facing the charming Xuan Huong Lake.

“The lavender flower gardens in Tuyen Lam Lake, sunflower fields at Da Lat Milk Farm, Trai Mat hydrangea flower fields and cherry blossom roads are other lovely spots that travelers wouldn’t want to miss.”

The list of the world’s destinations for flowers was presented following a study commissioned by Booking.com and conducted among a sample of adults who have traveled for business or leisure in the past 12 months and plan to travel again in the next 12 months (if/once travel restrictions are lifted).

In total, 20,934 respondents across 28 countries and territories were polled and respondents completed an online survey in July 2020.
