A man from the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho has turned a yellow apricot tree into the S-shaped Vietnamese map, attracting the locals to come and take a photo of this unique work.
Nguyen Minh Tuan, the tree's owner, has spent two years transforming the tree from its original structure into the shape of the Vietnamese map, which resembles the letter S.

Tuan considers himself fortunate to have purchased this 30-year-old yellow apricot tree in Vietnam's Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang.
The original tree has an upright shape and a dense canopy of branches, buds, and leaves.
The yellow apricot tree's trunk is 50 centimeters wide, and as it grows taller, it divides into three spreading branches, inspiring Tuan to frame the tree in the S-shaped of his homeland.

"It took me over two years to complete all of the steps, from basic shaping to cutting the branches and forming the S shape," Tuan said.
"Now that the tree has completely formed, the flowers are blooming, so I brought the tree here for display during this Lunar New Year holiday."
The S-shaped yellow apricot tree is currently five meters tall and on display for visitors to admire and take photographs at Can Tho City's Hoang Van Thu Spring Flower Street.

The most distinctive and appealing to visitors is how Tuan used two small branches of the yellow apricot to represent Vietnam's Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelagoes.
With this creation, Tuan hopes that when people see the yellow apricot, they will always remember and be proud of Vietnam.
Truong Anh Duc, a resident of Can Tho City's Ninh Kieu District, marveled at the beauty of apricot trees in the S-shape map of Vietnam.
"I've never seen this yellow apricot tree before," Duc said.
"The shape of the yellow apricot tree conveys a meaningful message.
“The artisan is also skilled and delicate in bending the tree in the shape of Vietnam map.”
