Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, has reopened its doors following months of refurbishment to welcome visitors with wide-open spaces.
According to the observation of Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper reporters, people gathered at Bach Dang Wharf to exercise and soak in the fresh air on Thursday morning.
The park's campus has been upgraded with new lighting systems, walkways, gardens, and green areas, as well as stone platforms for people to sit on around the park.
According to Thu Trang, a local resident, the renovated park is extremely airy, which makes jogging and exercising more enjoyable.
"Jogging and exercising in the park this morning is rather convenient. Also, the river view is pleasant to your eyes because it has widened sharply," Trang said.
The venue was renovated at a cost of VND26 billion (US$1.1 million), spanning more than 8,000 square meters from the Thu Ngu Flagpole to the wharf with new walkways, gardens, green spaces, lighting and watering systems.
