These wonder fruits are super healthy for skin and overall health. Apples contain a significant amount of collagen that makes your skin elastic and glowing. They also contain antioxidants that prevent signs of premature ageing that include skin tissue damage and wrinkles.

Apples are best eaten raw and if consumed with the skin are good source of vitamin C and fiber. Organic apples have higher antioxidants than those apples that are conventionally grown.

More tips

Banish sugar, flour, and other high-carb foods from your diet. These foods are bad for your gut microbiome, and your skin hates them.

Drink bone broth. Bone broth mainlines collagen and other anti-aging nutrients to your skin.

Repopulate your good flora. Eat fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, and yogurt, which recharge your gut with helpful bacteria. And eat lots of veggies, which feed your existing bacteria the nutrients they need.

Get more exercise. A few year ago, researchers in Ireland reported that exercise increases the persity of bacteria in the gut. In particular, the exercisers they studied had higher levels of a bacterium called Akkermansiaceae, which lowers inflammation.

De-stress. Stress kills off good gut bacteria and causes potentially harmful ones to proliferate. To fight stress, practice meditation every day.
