Mini garden in the heart of Saigon
With only 15 square meters, a garden with many colorful flowers sprouting up, becoming a dreamlike green
With a small garden of about 15 square meters, a woman has turned it into a green family corner so every member of her family can enjoy their spare time.
With the aim of creating an entertainment space for her family, Nguyen Thi Nhu Ngoc, a resident in Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City, grows various kinds of flowers in the small garden including roses, orchids, and hydrangeas.
The 15-square-meter garden, which was a garden of vegetables before, has been “overhauled” by Ngoc to make it a gathering space for her family after hours of arduous work and studying.
“This space not only helps connect our family members but also raises my son’s awareness of leading a green lifestyle, which needs to be promoted in our society, especially in cities,” said Ngoc.
Ngoc hopes to be able to extend the garden to have a lotus pond with fish. She intends to have more kinds of flowers like daisies, apricot blossoms, and peach blossoms to celebrate the 2021 Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year, which starts on February 12 this year.
