Argentina will take on Bolivia in an international friendly match on October 1, 2026, at 6:00 AM Vietnam time. This match is significant as it marks Argentina's return to the field following their participation in the 2026 World Cup final. However, the team will be without their captain, Lionel Messi, who is preparing for his farewell match scheduled for October 6.

Bolivia enters this match in poor form, having lost their last three games against Scotland, Algeria, and Paraguay, failing to score in any of these matches while conceding ten goals. Their recent performance has been disappointing, especially after coming close to qualifying for the World Cup for the first time since 1994. They suffered a 1-2 defeat to Iraq in a recent intercontinental playoff.

Argentina, ranked significantly higher than Bolivia in the FIFA rankings, will look to exploit their opponent's weaknesses. The team is expected to experiment with a new formation, featuring Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez in the attack, while Nico Paz will take on a creative role in the absence of Messi.

This friendly presents a crucial opportunity for Argentina to test their squad and strategies as they move forward without their long-time star player. Fans can watch the match live through the following link: Watch Argentina vs Bolivia Live.
