Al-Nassr has made history by scoring in 94 consecutive matches in the Saudi Pro League, breaking the previous records set by River Plate and Benfica. This remarkable feat was achieved during a match against Al-Khaleej, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The record was established thanks to a goal from Abdullah Al-Hamdan in the 72nd minute, equalizing after Al-Khaleej took the lead with a goal from Omar Mascarell just before halftime. Despite not winning the match, Al-Nassr's scoring streak has been impressive, starting from December 2023, when they defeated Al-Riyadh 4-1.

During this streak, Al-Nassr has recorded 70 victories, 12 draws, and 12 losses. The previous record for consecutive matches scoring was 93, held by River Plate from 1936 to 1939 and Benfica from 2012 to 2015.

Interestingly, Cristiano Ronaldo did not score during this match, playing the full 90 minutes without making a significant impact against Al-Khaleej's defense. Following the draw, Al-Nassr now has 16 points and sits third in the Saudi Pro League standings, trailing Al-Ittihad by one point and league leaders Al-Hilal by two points.

Coach Ange Postecoglou acknowledged that the congested schedule has affected the players' fitness levels, as the team has played eight matches since the season began, often under challenging weather conditions. He noted that while Al-Nassr started slowly against Al-Khaleej, they improved in the second half and praised his players for their efforts.

Looking ahead, Al-Nassr will continue their campaign in the AFC Champions League Elite, with their next match against Al-Ain on September 15.
