Coach Alexandre Polking of CAHN Club is uncertain about fielding his strongest lineup due to several key players potentially being unavailable. The team has recently celebrated success in the AFC Champions League Elite, marking their first appearance in this prestigious tournament by defeating Adelaide from Australia 2-0. However, the club may face significant challenges as national team players such as Quang Hai, Dinh Bac, and others have just concluded their commitments in the ASEAN Cup 2026.

Polking noted, "This year's trophy design is beautiful," but emphasized the difficulties his team faces in securing the title. With six players having been away for national duties for about two months, he stated, "I cannot confirm whether the national team players will participate in the Super Cup match. Some have played 90 minutes, while others have played less. I will assess each player's condition before making any decisions."

On the other hand, Arthur Diles, the new coach of Ho Chi Minh City Police Club, is aware of the pressure that comes with debuting in such a significant match against a well-established coach like Polking. Diles commented, "Polking is an excellent strategist and deserves the success he has achieved with CAHN. I have been brought in to help develop this team, which is both a pressure and an honor. When asked about rumors linking his club to former Manchester United star Juan Mata, Diles expressed surprise at the speculation but confirmed that it was merely a rumor. He previously coached Mata and maintains a good relationship with him.
