Liverpool FC is on the verge of finalizing the transfer of French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the two clubs have reached an advanced stage, and an agreement is expected to be finalized soon.
The 23-year-old Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in the summer of 2023 for a fee of €45 million. Since then, he has gradually established himself within the Parisian squad and earned a place in the French national team. However, despite his progress, Barcola has struggled to secure a regular starting position, often finding himself on the bench during crucial matches, including the UEFA Champions League final.
As a result of his limited playing time, Barcola has been excluded from PSG's recent matches against Aston Villa, Lens, and Rennes, indicating that his future may lie away from the French capital. His current contract with PSG runs until June 2028, but he has reportedly rejected an extension offer from the club, signaling his intention to seek new opportunities.
With discussions now in their final phase, Liverpool is keen to bring Barcola to the Premier League, where he could further develop his career. The transfer, if completed, would mark a significant move for both the player and the club as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
