According to the announcement made on August 21, 2026, the KONAMI Monthly MVP aims to showcase the appeal of football and enhance the experience for fans. The award will provide players with the opportunity to be acknowledged for their exceptional performances each month.

Players eligible for the award include all participants in the 2026/27 MEIJI YASUDA J.LEAGUE across its three divisions. The selection criteria focus on identifying the most outstanding player based on their performances in league matches during the month.

The prize money for the Monthly MVP is set at ¥300,000 for the J1 league, ¥200,000 for J2, and ¥100,000 for J3. Winners will be announced in the month following the award period, allowing fans to celebrate the achievements of their favorite players.
