Waddle expressed his enthusiasm for the idea of Grealish joining either of the two Scottish giants, stating, "Can you imagine Jack Grealish at Celtic or Rangers? That would add another spark to the Scottish game. It would liven things up, wouldn’t it?" However, he acknowledged the financial challenges that both clubs would face, particularly regarding Grealish's substantial wage demands.

Reportedly earning £300,000 per week at Manchester City, Grealish's salary would be a significant hurdle for either club. Waddle noted, "The only trouble for Celtic and Rangers would be his wages. I doubt they could even pay half of what he’d be asking for." He suggested that if Grealish were willing to reduce his wage expectations, a transfer could be feasible.

Despite the speculation, sources indicate that Rangers are not currently considering a move for Grealish, whether on loan or as a permanent transfer. The 30-year-old has shown no inclination to relocate to Scotland at this stage in his career, with ongoing links to clubs within the Premier League. Even if Grealish were to agree to a significant pay cut, he would still command a salary of around £75,000 per week, which would place him well above Rangers' current wage structure.

As Rangers look to bolster their squad, particularly on the left wing, they are exploring other options.
