ASEAN Cup 2026 Schedule: Vietnam's Opening Match Against Timor Leste
The ASEAN Cup 2026 is set to take place from July 24 to August 26, featuring 10 Southeast Asian teams.

The group stage of the 2026 AFF Cup has concluded, with Vietnam and Singapore advancing to the semifinals. Vietnam finished at the top of Group A, solidifying their position with a 3-1 win against Cambodia on August 7.
Vietnam's victory was marked by two goals from Dinh Bac and an own goal from a Cambodian player, bringing their total points to 10 after four matches. This top position not only allows Vietnam to enjoy an additional day of rest before the semifinals but also means they will play the second leg of the semifinals at home.
Singapore secured the second semifinal spot from Group A by drawing 1-1 with Indonesia. Indonesia, needing a win to advance, initially took the lead in the second half, but a defensive error allowed Singapore to equalize, ensuring they finished with 8 points.
As for Group B, the final matches will take place on August 8, featuring Thailand against Myanmar and Malaysia facing the Philippines. Thailand is currently in a strong position with 9 points and only needs a draw against Myanmar to secure their advancement. The battle for the second spot in Group B is tight, with Malaysia and Myanmar both having 6 points, while the Philippines trails with just 3 points.
After the conclusion of these matches, the two semifinalists will have a week to prepare for their respective games. Vietnam will play their first leg away on August 16, returning home for the second leg on August 19. Singapore's semifinals will be held a day earlier, with the first leg at home.
