Tynan Thompson Transfers to Manchester United
Tynan Thompson, an 18-year-old winger, has officially transferred to Manchester United from Tottenham

Manchester United is actively reshaping its squad as the summer transfer window progresses. The club has confirmed the signing of 18-year-old winger Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur. Thompson had an impressive season, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists across various youth levels, including a standout performance in the UEFA Youth League where he netted seven goals in seven matches.
In a bid to balance the squad and wage budget, United is reportedly looking to offload five players. Among those on the chopping block are Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, Altay Bayindir, Radek Vitek, and Diego Leon. Rashford, who has been sidelined since December 2024 and earns £325,000 per week, is particularly notable in this context, as his form has dipped significantly.
Additionally, there are ongoing discussions regarding midfielder Carlos Baleba. His representatives have reestablished contact with Manchester United to explore the possibility of reigniting a transfer that was initially discussed last summer. Baleba has expressed a strong desire to join the club, although previous negotiations stalled due to Brighton's unwillingness to sell.
United is also considering a move for American midfielder Tyler Adams, who is valued at around €40 million. Adams has been linked with the club in the past, but injuries prevented a transfer in January 2026. With the departure of Casemiro, United is keen on adding a defensive midfielder, although they may halt their search if they cannot find a suitable candidate that meets both technical and financial requirements.
Another player under United's radar is Jonathan Rowe from Bologna. Despite Bologna's reluctance to part with him after just one season, Rowe's desire to return to the Premier League could prompt a reconsideration, especially if the Serie A club fails to secure European competition.
As Manchester United prepares for a competitive season ahead, these transfer activities highlight the club's strategy to enhance its squad depth while managing its financial commitments effectively.
