Brooklyn Beckham's Controversial DoorDash Ad Earns Him $1 Million

Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of soccer legend David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, has reportedly raked in at least $1 million for a DoorDash advertisement that has stirred controversy within his family. The ad features Brooklyn humorously addressing his family estrangement while watching the FIFA World Cup from home, implying he has tickets but chooses not to attend.

In the commercial, he quips, "You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It’s not like I don’t have tickets. Um, it’s because … it’s a long story." This light-hearted take on a serious family issue has not been well received by his relatives, particularly his younger sister, Harper, who has been trying to mend the rift.

A source close to the situation expressed dismay, stating, "To do an ad based on estrangement from family as if it’s a joke, when his family is devastated, is terrible." Despite the backlash, DoorDash has doubled down on the campaign, releasing the full ad, which shows Brooklyn giving away his tickets to a delivery driver, saying, "These can go to someone else. Put them somewhere fun."

Brooklyn's decision to participate in this ad comes after a public feud with his parents, where he accused them of trying to ruin his marriage to wife Nicola Peltz. This has led to a perception of hypocrisy, as Brooklyn has previously claimed he desires peace and privacy away from the public eye, yet he is profiting from his family's drama.

Brand expert Ana Andjelic commented on the situation, noting that the ad cleverly taps into universal family dynamics, saying, "It’s a good ad. It taps into some human truths: all families have their own feuds." However, it appears that the Beckham family does not share the same sense of humor, as they continue to feel the impact of Brooklyn's public commentary.

As the World Cup unfolds, David Beckham is serving as an official campaign ambassador, while Brooklyn remains estranged from his family, further complicating the dynamics within the Beckham household. The situation highlights the complexities of family relationships in the public eye, especially when financial gain is involved.
