New normal HCMC streets: The first day of next week, the traffic is crowded
Ho Chi Minh City is implementing Directive 18, people are starting to return to work in the ‘new normal’
The HCMC Road and Railway Traffic Police (PC08) wrote to the HCMC Department of Transport suggesting removing the Nguyen Binh Khiem roundabout in District 1 as there has been a sharp increase in vehicular traffic from the Saigon Bridge to the roundabout during rush hour, causing frequent traffic congestion in this area.
PC08 on February 10 conducted a site survey with the relevant authorities to enhance traffic safety and order at the Hang Xanh and Nguyen Binh Khiem roundabouts and Dien Bien Phu road.
A study to remove the Nguyen Binh Khiem roundabout and replace it with traffic control signals in this area was necessary, said PC08.
