SHENZHEN, China, Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Connexion ShenZhen 2026 opened today at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Bao'an. Running through October 15, the fourth edition spans 180,000 square metres across nine halls, brings together more than 2,000 exhibitors and expects to welcome 120,000 professional visitors. Its two themed exhibitions connect ten industry sectors, offering international buyers a one-stop sourcing platform.
A grand opening brings the industry together
More than 130 industry experts and guests gathered for the grand opening ceremony. A traditional lion dance and ceremonial launch marked the start of the three-day exhibition, followed by a tour of the halls.
Two themed exhibitions widen the sourcing scope
The established "Catering, Hotel, Furniture, Health and Lifestyle" exhibition is joined this year by the new "Food Processing & Packaging, Catering Equipment and Commercial Appliances" exhibition. Together, they bring food ingredients, coffee and tea, hotel supplies, furniture and health products alongside processing and packaging machinery, kitchen and catering equipment, commercial appliances and cleaning technologies. Buyers can compare products and meet suppliers across related categories during one visit.
Competitions, forums and business matching throughout the show
More than 100 activities are planned over the three days, including business matching, industry forums, product launches and skills competitions. The health and nutrition programme features a new area dedicated to the silver economy and technologies for older consumers. A group of Japanese exhibitors organised by the Japan External Trade Organization is also making its debut.
In catering, coffee, beverages and bakery, the programme includes the 2026 China Cup Tasters Championship, the Shenzhen division of the 2027 World Fashion Drinks Competition, the South China division of the 2027 Shanghai International PizzaMasters, and the 2026 HOTELEX International Master Chef Classic (Shenzhen). The Food & Beverage Supply Chain Global Expansion Conference and the 28th Central Kitchen Building and Development Summit will examine overseas growth, supply chains and foodservice operations.
Hotel, furniture and commercial-space events include a South China forum on culture, tourism, business and hotel innovation, as well as "Designing Future Hotels: Asian Perspectives." The cleaning sector will present smart equipment and hold the 2026 Shenzhen Cleaning Industry Skills Competition. Food processing and packaging sessions will address food safety, greener packaging, and the use of AI and robotics in production. International buyers from a range of countries and regions have arrived at the show to source products on site and take part in business matching sessions.
Connexion ShenZhen has moved from December to October this year, aligning with the first phase of the Autumn Canton Fair. International buyers can combine specialist sourcing in Shenzhen with a wider supplier search in Guangzhou during the same trip. This year's exhibition continues through October 15. Connexion ShenZhen will return on October 13–15, 2027, with subsequent editions to be held in mid-October.
