Thang Long Imperial Citadel tour at night to make debut at the end of this year

The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, is an intriguing relic of Vietnam’s history and, signifying its historical and cultural importance, was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010. Also known as the Hanoi Citadel, many artifacts and items dating back to between the 6th and 20th centuries were excavated in 2004, including foundations of old palaces, ancient roads, ponds and wells.

On October 16, Heritage Conservation Center of Thang Long Imperial Citadel cooperated with Hanoitourist company to organize a program of survey and product introduction for Famtrip Hanoi - Ha Long delegation which includes more than 40 tourism businesses from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Ninh Thuan, Nghe An,… The delegation experienced the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long tour at night and attended a seminar on tourism investment promotion in Hanoi, translated from the VNExpress.

Tourists will also have the chance to visit the military operation bunker which was built in early 1965 by military engineers. They demolished the two-story command building to disguise and cover the bunker. The bunker has three rooms, covering 64 square meters. The roof is 1.5 meters higher than the ground and has three layers to protect officers against falling bombs and rockets.
