As part of the festival, a number of key events are planned in the town of Dien Bien Phu between March 12 and March 15 including the opening ceremony of the festival, which will take place on the evening of March 13.
A parade and folk games will be organized so that tourists can enjoy the festive atmosphere alongside the locals.
In addition, a photo exhibition showcasing the traditional culture of the Dien Bien ethnic groups is expected to take place alongside a series of artistic performances, including folk songs and dances.
The Bauhinia Flower Festival was first held in 2014 to mark the 60th ^e anniversary of the victory of the battle of Dien Bien Phu. Since then, it has been held every year with the aim of preserving and promoting the cultural values ​​of the various ethnic groups in the province of Dien Bien.
