Binh Phuoc is located some 120 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. Getting there by motorbike or car takes about three hours. Binh Phuoc is home to huge rubber and cashew plantations and is watered by the Dong Nai, Be and Sai Gon rivers. Its complicated topography, composed mainly of mountains, hills and highlands, has given rise to vertiginous waterfalls, the most famous of which are Dak Mai and Voi.
Besides the majestic lake of Suoi Cam, Binh Phuoc is home to several national parks. Covering an area of 26000 hectares, Bu Gia Map National Park has a rich biodiversity in both flora and fauna.
Recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve in 2001 Cat Tien National Park spans the Bu Dang and Dong Phu districts and conserves one of the largest areas of lowland tropical forests in Vietnam. In this park, you can observe endangered animals such as bison, banteng, white-winged duck or even the prelate pheasant. Located in Dong Nai, a town attached to the Bu Dang district, the Bu Lach plain with 500 ha of pristine green meadows is one of the wonders of the region. To get there, we cross the waterfalls of Dung, Pan Toong, Bu Xa and Voi.
" Binh Phuoc is ideally located and has many tourist attractions. For the localities of the central highlands, the province is considered as the gateway to Ho Chi Minh city. It brings together wild forests, mountains , lakes, streams and home to several ethnic minorities. These are considerable natural and cultural advantages for developing ecotourism and community tourism. We are currently considering a program to attract more tourists " , says Do Minh Trung, deputy head of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Department of Binh Phuoc province.
Many sites to visit
The province is full of remarkable historical remains such as the rubber plantation of Phu Rieng, the prison of Ba Ra, the military base of the Party Committee of the Command of the armed forces for the liberation of South Vietnam or the village of Bom Bo.

Republic of Vietnam, gathered to discuss the Paris Peace Accords.
In Loc Ninh, tourists can also visit a Khmer pagoda built in 1931. A visit to the Bom Bo village, located in the Bu Dang district, offers tourists the opportunity to soak up the culture of the S'tieng through their songs, their dances and their gastronomy.
" Binh Phuoc is still little known to tourists. I visited the Cat Tien forest and several villages populated by ethnic minorities. It was great! " Said Doan Quy, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City.
Many traditional festivals are celebrated by local ethnic minorities. The feast of the buffalo sacrifice, the feast of prayer for rain, the feast of the abandonment of the tomb, the feast of the Ba Ra pagoda, the Pha Bau feast, each of them deserves a detour and makes Binh Phuoc an original and attractive destination.
