
Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam - Latin America ICT Trade Promotion Conference 2020 was held on the evening of October 29 in Hanoi and countries' bridge points in Latin America.
The event, held virtually by the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communication in coordination with the embassy of 11 Latin American countries in Hanoi (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, Panama , Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela), saw the participation of sectors, branches, associations and companies operating in the ICT sector (information and communication technologies) in Vietnam and in the 11 countries of Latin America.
With the theme “Digital Connection Vietnam - Latin America “, The conference aims to further promote the role of information and communication technologies in linking Vietnam with other Latin American countries.
In particular, in the context of the global spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, the digital platform and the 4th industrial revolution are effective tools to more easily connect countries that are geographically distant but have a desire for cooperation and mutual development. .
During the forum, delegates discussed the national digital transformation agenda, the digital market, “make in Vietnam” digital creation platforms, as well as the update of the digital transformation policy of Latin American countries.
Many other activities also took place within the framework of the event, including a photo exhibition on the Vietnamese country and people and a program to showcase typical products of Vietnamese ICT companies (BKAV, VNPT, Viettel). -VNA
