Fourteen scientific works holding the Ho Chi Minh Prize soon to be exhibited at Hoa Binh
Hanoi (VNA) - An exhibition of 14 scientific works holding the Ho Chi Minh Prize will open on August 29 at the Heritage Park for Vietnamese Scientists (MEDDOM), in the district of Cao Phong, province of Hoa Binh (North) .
Placed on the theme "Science: creativity and contribution", this exhibition is one of the activities in honor of 75 e anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).
First awarded in 1996 the Ho Chi Minh Prize is a distinction bestowed by the Vietnamese Party and State in recognition of cultural and /or scientific merits. It helps to encourage scientists, especially young people, to do innovative research. It is one of the most prestigious awards for Vietnamese scientists today.
According to prof. Associate-Doctor Nguyen Van Huy, director of expertise of the Heritage Center for Vietnamese scientists, via stories told by friends, colleagues, disciples and relatives of scientists, and personal items (notebooks, letters, photos) , visitors will have the opportunity to better understand the scientific study activities in Vietnam, the dedication and talent of many scientists during different periods…
This exhibition, partially reflecting the scientific history of Vietnam since 1945 will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, including public holidays.
The Heritage Park for Vietnamese Scientists (MEDDOM) was built in 2008 and covers an area of 34 ha in the cultural space of the minority Muong ethnic group and in the large gardens of mandarin trees in Cao Phong, northern province. from Hoà Binh.
The Park currently preserves around 1800 documents and scientific objects. These relate to social science, natural science, technical science, etc. -VNA
