General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong extends Lunar New Year greetings to the Hanoi Party organisation, government and people.   

NDO - General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited and extended Lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the Party organisation, government and people of Hanoi on January 31 evening.


Congratulating the capital city on its achievements, the top Party leader expressed his pleasure at the city’s positive changes over the years.

Noting that 2022 is the year of the tiger, General Secretary Trong urged Hanoi to rise up strongly like a tiger and recorded greater victories than 2021, the year of the water buffalo.

The Party leader wished the Hanoi government and people good health, a new spirit and a successful year, deserving to be political, economic, cultural and educational centre of the country.

* On the eve of the 2022 Lunar New Year, Head of the Central Commission for Organisation Truong Thi Mai visited and presented Tet gifts to sanitation workers on duty at the Da Lat Market in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

Mai, a Politburo member, expressed her delight at the Da Lat’s clean and green streets, which was thanks to the substantial contributions of sanitation workers of the Da Lat Urban Services Company.

On the occasion, Mai presented 50 Tet gifts to the sanitation workers working on the night of January 31 and wished all the staff of the company the best wishes and a happy new year.

* On the morning of January 31, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam visited and inquired after medical workers at the Central Lung Hospital, who worked through the Lunar New Year to take care of patients.

He praised the hospital’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19 in the past two years and urged the hospital staff to stand ready to take on all challenges and difficulties.

On the same day, Minister of Health visited and extended Tet greetings to health workers on duty and patients who are being treated at the National Hospital of Endocrinology.
