In the past 30 years, the Institute’s Hanoi branch and the Magazine, have conducted academic studies about Buddhism and covered the fine Buddhist practices for the development of Buddhism. The Hanoi branch gathers monks, nuns, Buddhist followers, and researchers from northern Vietnam who research, compile, and translate documents.
The Buddhism Research Magazine has highlighted contributions of Buddhist followers to Vietnam’s international cooperation and disseminated State laws and policies to encourage followers to live a good religious life and defend Vietnam’s freedom of religion and human rights.
Most venerable Thich Thien Hanh, Vice Chief of the Hanoi branch of the Vietnam Buddhist Research Institute, said, “The Buddhism Research Magazine will soon make Buddhist studies and teachings accessible for all Buddhist followers inside and outside Vietnam, who share the same ambition of developing Buddhism.”
On this occasion, the Buddhism Research Magazine was honored with the President’s Labor Order third class.
