HCMC - The Ministry of Health has confirmed three fresh Covid-19 patients who are returnees from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Japan, raising the country‚Ä's tally to 1180 as of tonight, October 31. A 27-year-old woman, who resides in Tan Phu Dong Commune, Sa Dec City, Dong Thap Province, had close contact with a Covid-19 patient in UAE. On October 29 she arrived at the Khanh Hoa Province-based Cam Ranh International Airport on flight QH9305 and was immediately sent to a centralized quarantine center in the province. Her positive result came out today. She is being quarantined and treated at the Khanh Hoa General Hospital. The two other patients, aged 21 and 24 are female residents of Hanoi‚Ä's Thach That District and Gia Lai Province‚Ä's Chu Prong District, respectively. On October 29 they flew from Japan to the Danang International Airport on flight VN5301 and were immediately quarantined at the Dong Nghe reservist training center in Hoa Vang District and QP-AN/eBB971 training center in Lien Chieu District. A day later, they tested positive for the coronavirus. At present, they are being treated at the Danang Lung Hospital. According to the national steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control, more than 14700 people having close contact with coronavirus cases or returning from virus-hit areas are being put in quarantine. Of the total, 174 people are being quarantined at local hospitals; over 13200 individuals at centralized centers; and some 1400 others at their houses. Up to now, 1063 patients have made a full recovery from Covid-19 while 35 others have died of the virus. | ||
