The national toll remained unchanged at 1124 confirmed cases, including 1030 cured and 35 deaths. Of the total, 691 cases are local transmissions (551 confirmed since July 25).
Of the patients in treatment, eight tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, another five twice, and 12 more three times. There are no critically ill patients.
About 13386 people who have been in direct contact with recent confirmed cases or coming from epidemic areas are quarantined, including 154 in hospitals, 12029 in concentrated quarantine centers. The rest is at home or in accommodation establishments.
Medical experts predict that the epidemic could experience complex developments in the winter of this year. They call on the population to follow the 5K message: Khau trang (Mask), Khu khuan (Disinfection), Khoang cach (Distance), Khong tu tap (Without gathering) and Khai bao y te (Medical declaration).
If there are signs of fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, people can call the Department of Health's hotline at 190090.95 for medical consultations.
