How fast is one of the Northern region’s most vibrant markets growing?

At the seminar "Quang Ninh’s tourism and resort real estate 2020", organized by Business Forum magazine in collaboration with Vietnam Real Estate Brokerage Association, Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Vice President, General Secretary of the association talked about the development progress of Quang Ninh real estate market as the Northern region’s the most vibrant resort market during the past decade.

Dinh said in 2010 the only traffic highlight of Quang Ninh was Bai Chay bridge, financed by Japan's ODA. Meanwhile, most of the national highways were degraded, leading to the lack of regional connectivity. It took 2-5 hours to drive from Ha Long City to other areas in the East and the West of Quang Ninh; and 4-5 hours from Hanoi to the province.

At that time, in terms of economy - tourism, Quang Ninh was known as a peak of the North Vietnam's tourism growth triangle with many tourism hotspots like Ha Long Bay, Yen Tu Pagoda, Ba Vang Pagoda, Bai Tu Long Bay, Tra Co, Bai Chay, Tuan Chau Island, Co To Island Although there were many advantages and potentials, the province had only a few dozen hotels and some entertainment venues.

However, during only a decade, Quang Ninh has experienced a rapid development. In terms of urban infrastructure, ithe urbanization speed in Quang Ninh has been very fast, especially in Ha Long, Mong Cai, Cam Pha, Uong Bi, Quang Yen, Dong Trieu and Tien Yen district.

At present, there are 3 key projects of transport infrastructure in Quang Ninh, including: Van Don international airport, Ha Long international tourist ship port and Ha Long - Van Don expressway. Besides, Van Don - Mong Cai expressway also contributes to the completion of the expressway extending from Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong to Ha Long, extending to Mong Cai border gate, forming the first road corridor that connects the Northern provinces to the Chinese market.

The development of urban infrastructure and transport system is the foundation for Quang Ninh's tourism growth index to always be among the highest of the country. In 2019 the province attracts nearly 12 million tourists. Improved infrastructure planning, good transportation together with the strengths of tourism have become a premise for many businesses to invest in large projects in Quang Ninh, contributing to diversifying tourism products.

As of Dec 2019 Quang Ninh province has a total of 40 resort real estate projects, with many types of real estate and tens of thousands of products.
