Central exchange rate increased for the second session in a row
The selling rate is still listed at VND 23,650 / USD while the spot buying rate is listed at VND 23,175 / USD (unchanged).
With a margin of +/- 3% being applied, the ceiling rate applied by banks today is 23,929 VND / USD and the floor rate is 22,535 VND / USD.
This is the second consecutive session the central exchange rate has been adjusted up. Meanwhile, USD price at commercial banks this morning did not change much.
Specifically, Vietcombank is buying and selling USD at 23,120 – 23,300 VND / USD, unchanged compared to last morning survey price.
VietinBank decreased by 3 dong, down to 23,126 – 23,306 VND / USD while BIDV decreased 5 dong, to 23,115 – 23,295 VND / USD.
Eximbank did not adjust the exchange rate while ACB decreased VND 5 in each direction, listing USD at 23,140 – 23,290 VND / USD and 23,135 – 23,285 VND / USD respectively.
The exchange rate at Sacombank is at 23,148 – 23,288 VND / USD, down 2 VND in selling direction.
Techcombank reduced VND 18 in each direction, listed USD at VND 23,122 – VND 23,302 / USD.
Similarly, the USD exchange rate in this bank was also reduced sharply from VND 18 to 19 compared to the previous morning.
Specifically, the USD 3-day term exchange rate is listed at 23,123 – 23,313 VND / USD; 30-day term, USD is at 23,132 – 23,412 VND / USD; for 90 day term, the rate was 23,151 – 23,632 VND / USD, for 360 day term, the USD was at 23,238 – 24,642 VND / USD.
Previously, on June 25, SBV listed the central exchange rate at VND 23,230 / USD, a slight increase of VND 2 compared to the previous session. The selling and spot buying rates were listed at VND 23,650 / USD and VND 23,175 / USD respectively.
In the interbank market, the exchange rate closed at 23,205 VND / USD, continuing to decrease by 11 dong compared to June 24.
The free market rate dropped by 10 dong on both buying and selling sides, trading at VND 23,180 – VND 23,210 / USD.
