The Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Vietnam Science and Technology Entrepreneur Fund (SVF) and Startup World Cup have just launched the Techfest 2020 National Innovation Startup Talent Search Competition a competition to find and support innovative startups founded by Vietnamese nationals and internationals.
Participants are Vietnamese individuals or Vietnamese people living and working inside and outside the territory of Vietnam, regardless of gender, age, or occupation with innovative products, services or technologies, registered for a business license and already had a sample product.

The contest is judged by two exam tables: Tech-driven table for enterprises that provide technology products or services to customers and markets, including completely technological products and services or use new technologies to achieve rapid growth and expansion. The qualifying round takes place from October 8 to November 8, 2020 in the form of submitting documents and project documents of online businesses on the official website. The organizers select 60 teams (30 teams each) to enter the training round. The semi-finals and the final will take place on November 24, 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City and November 29, 2020, in Hanoi respectively.
The winner of the contest will become the representative of Vietnam to participate in the startup World Cup 2021 startup with a prize of $ 1 million. The top 3 contests will have cash prizes and support packages lasting 3 months after the contest. Top 10 contests will be selected for special investment commitments up to VND 500 million.
