Binh Dinh built a water music square in the sea encroachment area of Mui Tan
Mui Tan area (Hai Cang ward, Quy Nhon city) is supplemented with a water music square, an area of 1,711 m2. Here, the sea reclamation area will have a service, entertainment area of nearly 2 hectares.
Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee has just issued a document approving the partial adjustment of the detailed construction planning at scale 1/500 of Mui Tan sea encroachment area (Hai Cang ward, Quy Nhon city).

Accordingly, local adjustment of the structure of land use of Sub-zone 1 (green parks for entertainment, car parking); adding the function of a water music square to serve the community.
Specifically, to adjust the reduction of the land area of Zone 1, the green park, the music square – the parking area from 26,217 m2 to 23,262 m2 (down 2,955 m2); adding a water music square, an area of 1,711 m2; reducing the construction area from 1,091 m2 to 38 m2.
In addition, adjusted to increase the area of sub-zone 2 – service and entertainment area, the old area is 16,337 m2 to 19,292 m2 (an increase of 2,955 m2).
In particular, adjusting and expanding the area of the ship lock (ensuring safety and convenience for access to ships), the old area of 6,265 m2, the new area of 8,294 m2 (an increase of 2,029 m2); to adjust the construction area of service works from 2,082 m2 to 2,706 m2 (increasing by 624 m2).
Besides, the construction area of tourism services, trade, high-rise hotels from 8,800 m2 to 11,830 m2 (an increase of 3,030 m2) is adjusted.
According to research, in 2013, Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee agreed to allow a sea leveling enterprise in the Mui Tan area with an area of more than 12 hectares, accounting for 1 km of Quy Nhon coast to make a cable car for tourism.
However, after leveling, the investor did not implement the cable car project, causing the land to be abandoned for the past 6 years. The reason is that the investor wants to build a villa in this encroachment area, but the leaders of Binh Dinh province do not agree and ask the investor to only build a service hotel, an amusement park.

By the end of December 2019, Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee decided to restart the project of encroaching on Mui Tan sea, At this time, the project owner also changed.
Accordingly, this province has issued a decision to approve the content of the report on environmental impact assessment for the Mui Tan area project invested by Hung Thinh Quy Nhon Entertainment Service Joint Stock Company.
By May 2019, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province issued a decision to approve the detailed construction planning project at the scale of 1/500 of the Mui Tan sea encroachment area.
Accordingly, the total planned area is about 6.8 hectares, the land use structure is divided into two main functional areas. In which, subdivision 1 is a green park for entertainment, parking wider than 4.2 hectares. Subdivision 2 is the tourist service, commercial area, high-rise hotel with an area of nearly 2.6 ha.
Previously, at the International Scientific Conference held in 2010 on the idea of building Mui Tan tourist – service area organized by HBC Investment and Services Joint Stock Company, attracted more than 200 delegates who are professors and Key scholars, scientists and leaders of Binh Dinh province over time have attended seminars and criticisms.
At the seminar, many delegates said that planning the construction of the tourist – service area of Mui Tan not only creates an attractive tourist destination to attract domestic and foreign tourists but also exploits the tourism potential of Tran Hung Dao monument in Phuong Mai peninsula and connected with Hai Giang tourist route of Nhon Hoi economic zone.
Previously, the Provincial People’s Committee assigned land to Vinpearl One Member Limited Company to build a cable car station through Hai Giang tourist area.
