Former Prime Minister Tony Blair appreciated the business environment in Vietnam that is constantly improving. With the results achieved in the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic and the EVFTA Agreement officially taking effect, Vietnam is emerging as a bright spot in attracting global flows of foreign direct investment (FDI). Mr. Tony Blair expressed his desire to assist Vietnam in attracting high-quality investment flows in the coming time.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Pham Binh Minh highly appreciated former Prime Minister Tony Blair for his contribution to promoting Vietnam and UK relations as well as advising and providing policy recommendations to Vietnam in a number of areas such as revenue attracting FDI, implementing the public-private partnership (PPP) model in recent years. In the context of a complicated Covid-19 epidemic still evolving globally, Vietnam advocates promoting international cooperation in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemics, especially research, production and distribution of vaccines and medicine.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Pham Binh Minh affirmed that attracting high-quality foreign investment and technology development cooperation are Vietnam’s priority orientations in socio-economic development in the coming period; We expect the two sides to promote cooperation in attracting high-quality foreign investment, towards FDI projects using high technology, establishing innovation, research and development (R&D) centers and has linkage with the domestic business system through human resource training, supporting industry development.
