Quang Ninh OCOP products showcased in Hanoi
NDO – The People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province launched a week introducing its One Commune, One Product (OCOP) products and seafood range to Hanoi consumers at BigC Thang Long Hanoi on October 24.
More than 60 pavilions from 37 enterprises are showcasing 237 OCOP and seafood products from Quang Ninh province.
Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khang said that besides its potential and advantages regarding mineral resources and tourism, Quang Ninh is also well known for its OCOP products and seafood items.
The province has 250km of coastline as well as over 21000ha of hi-quality aquaculture with an average output of over 100 tonnes per year.
However, tourism activities, the consumption of OCOP products and export of seafood have all been heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic since early this year. Thus, it is hoped the weeklong event held in Hanoi will boost the consumption of agricultural products for farmers in Quang Ninh, helping them overcome their difficulties.
This is also an occasion for Hanoi consumers to enjoy specialties from Quang Ninh and for enterprises to promote their brands and the consumption of their products, Khang noted.
The event also includes seminars to connect enterprises and promote the consumption of Quang Ninh products with the participation of large distributors such as Central Retail Vietnam, MM Mega Market and Coopmart.
